Mind is the dubstep guise for Producer / DJ / Label Owner & Promoter, Stephen Barrell.

Minds dub roots were first forged in his home land of New Zealand, a region deeply influenced by the chilled out and bass heavy groove and tempo of reggae and dub. Mind later moved to London, England and established the Drum and Bass label Ruse Records, going on to promote a number of high profiled Dubstep and Drum and Bass events in the city. Keeping busy 2009 see’s the launch of his highly anticipated new Dubstep label; Your Time Music and the first of a series of Dubstep Festivals named ‘Your Time’ with promotion partners from selected labels including 3.5 records, This Way Up Artist Agency & Your Time Music.

Mind is an accomplished DJ bringing all aspects of the Dubstep genre to his shows; his live sets are built for the dance floor building the excitement from the deeper sounds of Dubstep to the more techie dance floor tunes increasing the energy and enjoyment.

Minds fresh new production has already seen a lot of heads turning having been signed to Englands 'Eight:FX' a label which has released tunes from Kromestar, Hatcha & Rusko, also Heny G's 'Gangsta Boogie' imprint, American 'Twenty Twelve' records and his music is getting DJ support from many artists and radio stations around the globe including Kromestar, N-Type, Hatcha, Joe Nice, Kito, Cotti, Heny G, Matt-U, Truth, Fused Forces and many more talented artists.
